(March 1, 2024) Prism Arts, a disability arts charity in Carlisle are delighted to announce Prism Artist JYMA will be showcasing their work in Carlisle Cathedral this spring in their first solo art exhibition.

JYMA is a prolific visual artist whose work spans many subjects from world politics to religion and human rights. When asked about how he was feeling about the exhibition, JYMA answered, ‘Brilliant. I hope the exhibition shows the best of my art and how far I’ve come.’

He will be working closely with Jennifer Gilbert of the Jennifer Lauren Gallery to curate work for this showcase: Jennifer is an internationally renowned UK-based gallerist who champions, exhibits and shares voices from international self-taught, disabled, neurodivergent and overlooked artists.

Prism Arts are thrilled to be partnering with Carlisle Cathedral once again to exhibit an artist’s collection following the success of Harvey Tye’s solo art showcase in October 2022.
