Stuart Irving Wins Judges’ Choice Award at Brewery Arts Open Exhibition 2025
We are absolutely delighted to share that Stuart Irving, a Prism Studio artist, has won the Judges’ Choice Award at the Brewery Arts Open Exhibition 2025 for his painting ‘Wrestlers’.
The awards evening took place on a Thursday evening on the 17th of July, with Stuart attending alongside his family and Prism’s Co-Creative Director, Martin Swan. His winning artwork ‘Wrestlers’ stood out to the judges for its vibrancy and expressive power.
“We thought Stuart’s work stood out as a joyful painting bursting with energy and optimism. We also liked the fact that it is quite raw and has a pared down simplicity; the striking but minimal colour scheme and bold linear shapes jump off the page and easily connect with the viewer. We are excited at the prospect of seeing a bigger exhibition of Stuart’s work.”
As part of his award, Stuart has been invited to present a solo exhibition in the Brewery Arts Foyer Gallery in Spring 2026 — a wonderful opportunity to showcase more of his unique artistic voice and growing body of work.
This recognition is a fantastic milestone in Stuart’s journey as an artist. His confidence, creative vision, and distinctive style continue to grow with each new piece, and we are so proud to see his work reaching wider audiences.
