We were delighted to be able to host the Secretary of State, Nadine Dorries. She is the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport of the United Kingdom.

Her visit gave us a wonderful opportunity to share what we we do here at Prism Arts and the art produced by our artists to a wider audience. We took her on a tour of the studio and showed some of the artwork created by our artists. Which was followed by a creative warm up activity that she joined in with while meeting some of our artists.

It was great to see the Secretary of State at Prism Arts championing the work of people with disabilities, and we all really enjoyed the visit!

“If I was supporting a young person with a disability I would want them to come to Prism Arts. The passion of the team and the dynamic programme they are delivering is great, really placing people with disabilities at the heart of their own journey”

“Loved visiting @peopleatprism  in Carlisle today – the embodiment of art without barriers. Inspiring to see how they reach into the community to provide life-enhancing creative opportunities to people with disabilities — and run by the most amazing and compassionate team”

– Secretary of State, Nadine Dorries
