Participants: Residents of Mill House, Extra Care Housing for older people in Kirkby Stephen.

This project gave the residents of Mill House the opportunity to work together creating fabric banners to display in their home.

They began the project by creating a timeline of political, social and local events over the last 50 years. They shared their own memories while discussing these themes, which inspired the creation of three five-foot banners. Everyone worked together to research ideas, design, print, paint and stitch parts for the banners.
