Prism Arts, a disability arts charity in Carlisle, invite local art lovers to a pop-up exhibition and all-ages drop-in workshop on Saturday the 13th of July.

The event celebrates the launch of the charity’s first ever Prism Arts Annual Book, which will be available to purchase during the day. The publication will showcase artwork created over the last academic year at the neurodivergent artist collective.

The event is on Saturday, 13th July, from 10 am to 4 pm at Prism Arts Studios, 5 Market Street, CA3 8QJ.

VIBRANT POP-UP EXHIBITION

This one-day-only event will feature a vibrant pop-up exhibition showcasing a selection of framed artwork created by our talented studio artists over the past academic year. Attendees will also have the opportunity to view theatre development work, enjoy refreshments, and purchase unique products from the Prism Shop.

A highlight of the day will be the free, drop-in creative workshop led by Amber McGhee, Facilitator Artist at Prism Arts. This engaging workshop invites participants of all ages to explore funky, abstract portraiture on a group canvas. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

“We are thrilled to share the incredible work of our studio artists with the public and celebrate the launch of our very first Prism Arts Annual,” said Emma Turner, Communications Lead at Prism Arts. “This event is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, get inspired, and participate in a fun and creative experience!”

Join us at the grand Central Methodist Hall and immerse yourself in a day of art, creativity, and celebration. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to support local artists and be part of the Prism Arts community!
